It is easy to slip into the mindset that selling is uncomfortable and difficult, but it's all about changing your perspective on what selling actually is and what it means for your audience. We are going to examine how you can overcome your mindset blocks towards selling and the secret to selling without feeling pushy or sleazy so that people are excited to buy from you.


Selling can feel really awkward because it's easy to see it as you asking people for something so that you can make money.

The possibility of getting rejected is also scary, so a lot of us get stuck in the cycle of feeling like we're not good enough to sell. We never give ourselves permission to just go for it and put our ideas and offers out there. But as business owners, we have to make money at some point or another, otherwise, we don't really have a business. You might feel that charging money is out of alignment with your goal to just help others.


Maybe you think that you can't really help people and make money at the same time. So many of us struggle with these kinds of beliefs, but we need to realise that we can't help anyone if we don't get out of our own way and actually overcome these mindset blocks. We need to figure out what our blocks are and how to overcome them in order to make our businesses a success.


We need to realise that when we sell something, we can offer so much more value and have even more impact.

It's not about taking anything away or just making money. It's about being of more service and helping people in a much deeper way. Selling feels so much easier when we look at it this way. People love to buy things for themselves, the experience of buying things and the transformation it can give them. It should be a beautiful experience where people are so happy to buy from you because they love your business, your brand and what they are actually going to get from you.



So how do you get people excited to buy from you?

You have to sell the transformation and what your service or product will do for them, not the product's features or service itself. Selling with love comes down to building your sales funnel and the fantastic customer experience you create so that by the time you make your offer, people feel so happy and excited to buy from you. It becomes a joyful experience for everyone.

  1. Let's Get Started by answering the following questions: What transformation does your product or service help people to achieve? How would that transformation make people feel? What would it mean to them? Look at it from their perspective

  2. Painpoints, Fears & Desires What are your ideal client's most significant pain points, struggles, and frustrations? Try to identify 5. For each pain point, think of 3 ideas (videos, posts, blogs etc.) that you could create to help people with that. What are the biggest fears that your ideal clients face? Try to identify 5. For each fear, think of 3 ideas that you could create to help people with that. What are the biggest desires your ideal clients have? Try to identify 5. For each desire, think of 3 ideas that you could create to help people with that.

  3. Other areas you can create Engaging Content What kind of transformation/result do you help people achieve? What would that mean for them? How would it change their lives? Why do you do what you do? What does it mean to you? How do you do it differently from other people in your industry?

  4. Types of Engaging Content Choose an area you enjoy the most; if you enjoy writing, speaking, creating images, creating videos or connecting with people, we have some suggestions on each area below. Writing = Blogging/ SEO Speaking = Podcasting Creating amazing images = Instagram or Pinterest Getting in front of the camera = YouTube Videos Creating short-form video content = TikTok or IG Reels Connecting with people = Networking (events or online), Collaboration, LinkedIn

  5. Showing up and engaging rather than selling is just as important. If you are in the service industry, get active in 5 Facebook Groups dropping breadcrumbs (your top tips). Choose 5 Groups you can show up in this month to see what a difference it makes.
